INTRODUCTION

The Finance department is responsible for, among others developing and managing financial budgets for the council's operations as well as financial reporting and providing accurate and timely financial reports to stakeholders. Also included in their role is:

Funds Management - Efficiently managing funds, investments, and financial resources.

Audit Compliance - Ensuring adherence to auditing standards and regulatory requirements.

Payroll Processing - Handling payroll activities for employees in accordance with regulations.

Expense Management - Monitoring and controlling expenses to maintain financial health.

Financial Planning - Strategizing and planning for the council's financial future.

Risk Management - Identifying and mitigating financial risks to protect the council's assets.

Compliance - Ensuring compliance with financial policies, laws, and industry standards.

Financial Analysis - Conducting analysis to support decision-making and optimize financial performance.
