The Billing & Credit Control departments manages the collections of outstanding debt in respect of Council levies, Union Subscriptions, Industry Provident Funds, Additional Holiday Pay, Sick Accident and Maternity fund.
In addition, they also manage and reduce the outstanding debt through telephone debt collection; referral of non-complying employers to Legal for Prosecution.
Query resolution at regional level (Payments and returns queries) and building and maintaining relationships with employers and employees are also included in their mandate.

MIBCO further receives claims for Provident Fund Payments and submits these to Motor Industry Retirement Funds for processing and payment;
The SSC and Regional offices have a client services component to render assistance to employers and employees.

The IT/BI department at MIBCO is a division that oversees infrastructure management and the upkeep and optimisation of IT infrastructure and systems. The team also overlooks network security while making sure that the data and digital networks of the council are secure.

Manual returns are processed centrally at the SSC and the Regional Returns processor to provide assistance for those employers that walk in and any other work from credit control and inspectorate;
Online Returns is available free of charge and enables employers to link via internet to the MIBCO Returns System and changes such as engagements, terminations, increases, fund changes and breaks are performed on the system. The system automatically updates the forecast and the amount due is amended accordingly.
