MIBCO Welcomes Human Resources Consultant – Mr Samual Lewatle
The Office of the General Secretary is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Samuel Lewatle as the Human Resources Consultant effective from 22 October 2025. He will oversee the department for the next 6 months while we embark on a recruitment process for a permanent candidate.
Mr Lewatle is a dynamic and results-oriented Master HR Practitioner and Strategic Management Consultant with over 15 years of executive leadership experience across public, private, and international sectors. Skilled in driving business transformation, organisational restructuring, corporate governance, and operational excellence to achieve sustainable growth and market competitiveness.
He is passionate about collaborating with organisations to drive-in governance excellence, develop high-performance cultures, and lead impactful transformation
initiatives across South Africa and the African continent. Mr Lewatle brings a wealth of knowledge from his previous roles which incldue Executive for Corporate Services at Government Employees Medical Scheme (GEMS), Executive Director for Human Resources for National Development Agency (NDA) as well as a Senior Manager & Acting General Manager for Human Capital at Independent Development Trust (IDT).
He is proficient and highly knowledgeable in Corporate Transformation, Change and Talent Management Strategies, Strategic HR, Succession Planning and Policy Development, Employee and Industrial Relations, in addition to other specialities.
He has extensive experience with VIP Payroll, SAGE VIP/365, HR Information Systems, Enterprise Resource Management, Recruitment, Human Capital, and Learning Management Systems.
In addition to his vast experience, Mr Lewatle is a member on the South African Board for People Practice (SABPP), Master HR Practitioner and Coaches and Mentors of South Africa (COMENSA). He is currently the Chairperson for Skills Development, Performance Management Committees at GEMS and holds several other seats on different Boards and Committees.
